 Dr. Jewell E. Ginter, Optometrist
Dr. Ginter graduated in 1976 with an M.S. degree in Biology/Microbiology from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas and went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the University of Houston in 1982. She has been in private practice since 1982 in Lubbock, Texas specializing in Laser Surgery pre and post-op care, Therapeutic Optometry, contact lenses (including soft, rigid, and specialty contacts), and Family Vision. Dr. Ginter is a member of the local South Plains Optometric Society and has membership in state and national organizations such as the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
 Dr. Amy L. Cruth, Optometrist
Dr. Cruth graduated with honors from Emporia State University in 1997 with a B.S. in Biology. She graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry in 2001. While in optometry school, Dr. Cruth served on a mission trip with VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) to San Cristobal, Mexico providing free eye examinations and glasses. She belongs to the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association. Dr. Cruth and her husband, Brandon Cruth, D.C. have been in Lubbock since 2002.
 Dr. Karen Hashmi, Optometrist
Dr. Hashmi graduated from West Texas A&M University Cum Laude with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She received her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Houston. Dr Hashmi is an active Alumni of the Delta Zeta Sorority and a member of South Plains Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She was raised in Amarillo, Texas and is currently engaged to be married.
 Dr. Emily Smith, Optometrist
Dr. Smith grew up in Decatur, Texas. She graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in 2005 with a B.S. in Biology. She attended the University if Houston College of Optometry where she was a memeber of Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society. She is a member of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Smith lives in Lubbock with her husband, Jonathan, and two sons, Jaron and Aaden.
Dr. Valenta Carter, Optometrist
Dr. Carter is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Texas State University at San Marcos with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in Psychology. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and National Optometric Association.
Alice Villalobos, Office Manager
Alice has been part of our growing practice since 1990. She is a certified optician, as well as a national certified contact lens technician. Alice, with Drs. Ginter, Cruth and Draper's guidance, will properly fit you in soft, rigid, or specialty contacts and determine the right lenses for you.
Frances Boyd, Optical Manager
Frances has been in the optical business for over 10 years. She joined the Ginter EyeCare team in May of 1998. She is certified by the American Board of Opticians and Certified Lens Technology Expert.
 Nicole Bentley, Billing Manager
Nicole has been with Ginter Eyecare since 2002. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in Accounting. She manages the Insurance and Billing department.
Martha Loera, Lab Manager
Martha has been with Ginter Eyecare since 1999. She is the lab manager and is currently studying for her national optician certification. Martha has nine years of optical experience and is knowledgable in the area of contact lenses. She will be glad to answer your questions and help you with all of your optical needs.
Kendra Welch, ABOC
Kendra Welch, ABOC, is certified by the American Board of Opticians and Certified Lens Technology Expert. She has been with Dr. Ginter since 2002. She has a good eye for frame styling and is an experienced professional. Have her assist you in your next eyewear purchase. Specialist in selecting and fitting eyeglasses for patients with special needs and/or facial deformities.
